Belgium's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday it has summoned Russian Ambassador Alexander Tokovinin over Moscow's statement that the Belgian air forces bombed civilian facilities near Aleppo.
Spokesman for the Belgian Foreign Ministry, Didier Vanderhasselt, said the Russian diplomat will be received Thursday at the ministry.
The Russian Foreign Ministry had earlier accused Belgium's air force of striking Hassajek village near Aleppo, leaving six people dead and four injured. "We usually do not report where we act, but those days our aircraft did not perform flights over the mentioned area," Belgium's Defense Minister Steven Vandeput said.
