Blacks, hispanics satisfaction increases

A Gallup poll indicates blacks and Hispanics are more likely to say that they are satisfied with their lives than they were five years ago. Whites\' satisfaction has remained unchanged, Gallup said, and the three groups are now about equally likely to be satisfied with their lives. In 2008, 38 percent of blacks said they were very satisfied with their lives, and in 2013, 42 percent chose very satisfied as their answer. The increase in Hispanics\' satisfaction is a result of an increase in the percentage of Hispanics who said they were somewhat satisfied with their lives. Forty-four percent of Hispanics said they were somewhat satisfied in 2013, up from 39 percent in 2008. The poll was conducted from June 13 to July 5. Interviewers surveyed 4,373 adults by telephone, and the margin of error was 3 percentage points.
