Blast at railway station in southwestern Pakistan kills 2, wounds 15

A blast near a railway station in southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan killed at least two people and wounded 15 others on Wednesday. According to initial police reports, the blast exploded near the railway station in Balochistan\'s Chaman town situated near the Pak-Afghan border killing two people and wounding fifteen others including women and children. A police official said that the explosion occurred near the ticket office at the railway station when a train was preparing to leave for the provincial capital Quetta city. The security forces cordoned off the area and the rescue teams immediately shifted the wounded people to the Civil Hospital Chaman where the death toll is feared to rise as some victims were in a critical condition. The attack came just after two days when the security forces claimed to seize 100 tons of explosive from Balochistan province and the Frontier Corps (FC) raid in the Satellite Town arrested eight suspected militants. The Commandant FC, Colonel Maqbool Shah said that the paramilitary force seized detonators, remote controls, ball bearings and a large amount of chemicals including potassium chloride and ammonium chloride. The eight accused were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
