British Foreign Secretary William Hague condemned the downing of a Turkish military airplane by Syria yesterday. Haig said in a statement today that this behavior by the Syrian regime is unacceptable and disturbing. He added that the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu confirmed that the fighter was shot down without prior warning. The British Foreign Minister stressed that UK is ready to take a strong stand in the UN security Council, emphasizing the importance of finding an immediate solution to the Syrian crisis.
