The birth of the new member of the British Royal Family, the third heir of the British throne, is due in July. Duchess Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, is expected to deliver her first child at London\'s St Mary\'s Hospital where late Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William in 1982. Amid speculations on British media over the name of the royal baby, unanswered by the royal couple, British people are betting on the gender and name of the baby. The most favoured names in the bets are Diana, Elizabeth, Victoria, Charlotte, Alexandra, George, James, Philip, Charles, Richard. There are also misleading information on social media causing false alarm saying the birth has begun. Athough the birth in not due until the second week of July, foreign and local press as well as the photographers have already been camping outside St Mary\'s Hospital waiting for the royal baby. As part of the royal tradition, the gender and weight of the baby are written on a paper bearing the logo of Buckingham Palace, given by the royal officials to the car waiting outside the hospital to be delivered to the Royal Palace. It is not until the paper is received by the Queen herself that the royal officials inform the press of the royal baby\'s gender. Kate Middleton and Prince William married on April 29, 2011 at London\'s Westminster Cathedral with a magnificent wedding ceremony. In line with last year\'s amendment on the law regarding the succession of the British throne, the first child of Kate and William, if a baby girl, can be heir to the throne and bear the title \"Princess.\"
