Two British journalists who were detained by a Libyan militia last month will be released within 24 hours, a senior government official told AFP on Thursday. \"The two journalists will be released within 24 hours and will be free to leave the country,\" deputy interior minister Omar al-Khadrawi said. The Swehli militia of Misrata, which also has operatives in Tripoli, seized Nicholas Davies and Gareth Montgomery-Johnson while they were reportedly filming late at night near a sensitive site. The journalists, who work for Iran\'s English-Language Press TV, were held by the militia for weeks over charges of illegal entry and possible espionage before being handed over to the authorities.
