Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday confessed to have made two mistakes in his political life: Not dissolving the assembly when asked to step down as CM after the Lokayukta\'s mining report, and not parting ways with the BJP at the Hubli convention in May. After rebuffing trouble-shooter Arun Jaitley who tried persuading him to stay back in the party, Yeddyurappa lashed out at the central leadership again: \"They (leadership) fooled me several times in the past. Now, they are trying to confuse my supporters. Don\'t make any efforts to retain me. I have quit the party and the reins are with KS Eshwarappa and HN Ananth Kumar. I challenge them to build the party,\'\' he said. Virtually indicating that the BJP can\'t progress without him, Yeddyurappa said: \"When I was on the verge of quitting BJP during the Hubli convention, some leaders asked me not to do so and promised I would be made CM again. Also, I shouldn\'t have stepped down after the Lokayukta report, I should have dissolved the assembly.\'\'
