Bulgaria\'s anti-government protests enter 40th day

Protests against Bulgaria\'s socialist led-government have entered their 40th day, as anti-government demonstrators brought a coffin to Parliament to hold a symbolic funeral in a reference to Eastern Orthodox Christian tradition, the religious denomination, which most Bulgarians adhere to, in the capital, Sofia. One of two forms of anti-government protests \"coffee-drinking” outside Parliament in the mornings began after demonstrators gathered calling for  the government\'s resignation. The protesters blocked traffic, chanting slogans. Thousands of protesters also organize demonstrations in central Sofia in the evenings. Bulgaria has been in a political turmoil for months. The anti-government demonstrations began after controversial media king, Delyan Peevski, was appointed as head of the national security agency, which provoked days of street protests, and prompted the main opposition to boycott parliament.
