Cabinet condemns Bahrain blasts

The weekly Cabinet meeting, chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, yesterday condemned the bomb blasts which occurred in Bahraini capital Manama on Monday and affirmed Qatar’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Cabinet expressed its support to Bahrain in maintaining security and stability of the country. Following the meeting, HE the Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud said the following: The Cabinet considered topics tabled on its agenda as follows: First: The Cabinet reviewed a letter of the Minister of Energy and Industry, who is also chairman of the water resources standing committee, related to the first and second quarterly report on the committee’s activities and took the relevant appropriate decision. Second: The Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify the following : A- An agreement between Qatar and Italy on exempting the holders of diplomatic, service and special passports from the entry visa requirements. B- An agreement on encouragement and guarantee of investment between the governments of Qatar and Ukraine. Third: Approving a draft cultural co-operation agreement between the governments of Qatar and the cabinet (council of ministers) of Ukraine.
