
Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has announced his country's resolve and determination to be a more active player on the world stage through the activation of its role in the United Nations and its various bodies.
In a statement after his UN visit, Mr. Trudeau, said, "Today I'm in New York to formally announce our intention to seek a place on the UN Security Council," speaking in French.
"Canada will work actively to obtain a seat on the UN Security Council for the 2021-2022 period," Mr. Trudeau added.
