Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Joseph Harper held talks here today with his Kuwait counterpart Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on a range of bilateral and regional issues. The two sides explored the horizons of expanding cooperation in various domains notably the economic, commercial, educational and investment fields. They highlighted the need to enhance the visit exchanges between the business people of the two countries with a view to tapping the potential joint investment opportunities and involving Canadian corporations in Kuwait\'\'s development plan. Their talks on the latest developments of the situations in the Middle East and North Africa, and the combat against terrorism showed that both Kuwait and Canada hold identical views on these issues. Following the talks the two premiers patronized the signing ceremony of an agreement to protect mutual investments and a declaration of intent on air transport. The two documents were signed by Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and Canadian Minster of International Trade Edward Fast.
