
Owing to the influx of returnees from Central African Republic, the Chadian government is appealing for assistance from friendly countries, according to the secretary of state in charge of Chadians in diaspora."Your contribution will enable us to transport and offer social support to thousands of Chadians who have returned to the country and those expected to return in the coming days," Kassire Isabelle Housna said on Friday when she addressed diplomats accredited to Chad.She said hundreds of Chadians had lost their lives and property in Central African Republic and thousands of others had been forced to flee.Amid the deteriorating security situation in Central African Republic, the Chadian government decided to bring back all its citizens on Dec. 21, 2013. By Friday, 43 flights had been organized from Bangui, the capital of Central African Republic, to the Chadian capital N'Djamena.Kassire said by flights and terrestrial means, the government had so far managed to evacuated 11,892 Chadians from Central African Republic.The government estimates up to 7,000 Chadians are still awaiting the evacuation from Central African Republic.
