Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has condemned the twin bombings that rocked Damascus claiming the lives of 44 martyrs and wounding 166 of civilian and military personnel. In a statement released by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministryon Saturday, Chavez affirmed his country's confidence in the ability of Syria to come out of this crisis thanks to the awareness of its people. " This attack comes in the framework of inflaming the violence in the country," the statement said. President Chaves, on behalf of the Venezuelan people and his own behalf, offered heartfelt condolences to the families of victims of the terrorist attack.
