China will enhance military cooperation with Burundi so to contribute to the overall development of bilateral ties and China-Africa cooperation. Vice Chairman of China\'s Central Military Commission Guo Boxiong and Defense Minister Liang Guanglie made the pledge during their separate talks and meetings with Pontien Gaciyubwenge, defense minister of Burundi on Thursday in Beijing. Guo and Liang hailed the friendship and current ties between the two states and military forces, noting China will enhance cooperation with the East African state in various fields. Gaciyubwenge said military cooperation, like personnel training with China, will help his country\'s national reconstruction and safeguard regional peace and stability. He also appreciated China\'s assistance in the economic and social recovery of the once war-torn country which is striving for more balanced national development.
