China hopes success of the Egyptian presidential elections

China has expressed the hope in the success of the first Egyptian presidential elections since the overthrow of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak last year. Spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hong Lei considered Wednesday that these elections are a major milestone in the political process in Egypt after the election of the People\'s Assembly and Shura Council earlier this year. He added that China hopes that the elections go smoothly, and Egypt achieves stability and national development.
