Chinese President Hu Jintao on Friday met with visiting Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz . During the meeting Chinese President proposed several measures to further enhance bilateral cooperation, including strengthening political ties and bolstering cooperation in the fishing, mining, telecommunications, energy and infrastructure sectors. The Chinese President also vowed to maintain communication and coordination with Mauritania on global issues including UN reform, climate change, poverty alleviation, disaster reduction and food security, Chinese News Agency (XINHUA) reported. After the meeting, Chinese Minister of Commerce Chen Deming and Mauritanian Minister of Economic Affairs and Development Sidi Ould Tah signed two cooperative agreements that will allow China to provide financial assistance and interest-free loans to Mauritania.
