China\'s procurator-general promotes public\'s right to know, supervise

Cao Jianming, procurator-general of China\'s Supreme People\'s Procuratorate (SPP), vowed to maximize the public\'s right to know and to supervise on Friday. Cao made the remarks at an event held on the sixth day of the SPP\'s open house. A total of 23 people from central government departments, new media outlets and other parts of society, as well as legal experts, visited the SPP\'s case administration center, the \"12309\" informant hotline telephone office, the center for inquiries into bribery case files and other workplaces. Cao said the SPP will further open up information on its work in order to meet the public\'s demand for the right to know, to participate and to supervise as much as possible. He added that the system of openness will be improved, while all sorts of new media platforms, such as microblogs, WeChat, text messages and the Internet, will be used to make the SPP\'s work more public. Officials from the SPP also answered some questions from visitors on Friday.
