China will strengthen military ties with Sudan and promote military cooperation between the two countries, Vice Chairman of China\'s Central Military Commission Xu Caihou said on Monday. During a meeting with Sudanese Defense Minister Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein, Xu said China and Sudan have a long history of friendship, and the two countries also have expanded cooperation in a wide range of fields since diplomatic relations were established. \"Bilateral relations have developed to a new level and we hope to expand pragmatic military-to-military cooperation,\" Xu said. Hussein spoke highly of Sudan-China friendly relationship, saying that Sudan hoped to cooperate with China in various fields and expand consensus. \"Sudan will continue to adhere to the one-China policy,\" Hussein said.
