China supports Russia initiative on Syria

China supports the Russian draft resolution submitted to the Security Council about the situation in Syria and appreciates the constructive Russian efforts to resolve the crisis, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry. The spokesman reiterated his country''s supports for the efforts of the Arab League to open the political process to avoid foreign intervention in Syria, and expressed the hope that the crisis would be resolved within the framework of the League.
