China\'s top political advisor Jia Qinglin on Thursday urged the Netherlands to continue to respect China\'s core interests and major concerns, so as to contribute to long-term steady development of Sino-Dutch ties. During a meeting with Dutch parliament leaders, Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People\'s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), voiced his appreciation for the Netherlands\' adherence to the one-China policy. Jia said the CPPCC is willing to strengthen exchanges with the Dutch parliament, in order to further promote development of the Sino-Dutch ties. Meanwhile, Fred de Graaf, president of the Senate of the Netherlands, and Willibrord van Beok, deputy president of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands, said Jia\'s visit embodied the sound relationship between the China and the Netherlands, and is set to boost Sino-Dutch ties. Noting that China has become a major force in the world, the duo said the Netherlands is ready to work with China to tide over difficulties and challenges including the current eurozone debt crisis. The Netherlands is the second stop after Greece of Jia\'s three-nation European tour, which will also take him to Germany.
