President Xi Jinping has met with his Myanmar counterpart U Thein Sein in the city of Sanya in South China’s Hainan province. The two leaders say they had a broad and deep exchanges of views on the prospect of bilateral relations and the development of the situation in Myanmar. During their talks, President Xi Jinping said China has maintained a good-neighborly policy and seeks common development in the region. He said China attaches great importance to developing ties with Myanmar. The two sides should keep relations on the right track, deepen strategic mutual trust and maintain high-level visits. Xi Jinping said China will continue to play a constructive role in facilitating talks on the conflict in Northern Myanmar
