Cicek: Turkish-Kuwaiti relations role model for international relations

Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek said Sunday that Turkish-Kuwaiti relations are role model for international relations. In statements to reporters upon his arrival in Kuwait, Cicek lauded the steadily growing and developing Turkish-Kuwaiti relations at both popular and government levels. He added that Turkey and Kuwait share almost identical views of regional and international issues of common concern. Cicek said that he will discuss with Kuwaiti officials, during his three-day official visit, the means to take bilateral relations to new heights and expand cooperation in various domains, especially in the parliamentary domain. The Turkish top legislator and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at the airport by a high-ranking Kuwaiti parliamentary group headed by National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim as well as Turkish ambassador in Kuwait and Kuwait's ambassador in Turkey.
