Court commutes prison term of Hanwha chairman

A Seoul appellate court on Monday commuted the sentence of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-youn from four years to three years on account of his efforts to recover losses he caused to the conglomerate with his private money.Kim is accused of illegally using company money to pay back debts of firms he was running under borrowed names, causing hundreds of billions of won in losses to the country\'s 10th largest family-controlled conglomerate.
