Dar al Iftaa lauds statements of Vatican's pope about Muslim woman's right to wear veil

Egypt's Dar al Iftaa praised on Wednesday statements of Pope Francis of the Vatican in which he defended the Muslim woman's right to wear a veil.

"Everyone must have the freedom to externalize his or her own faith. If a Muslim woman wishes to wear a veil, she must be able to do so. Similarly, if a Catholic wishes to wear a cross. People must be free to profess their faith at the heart of their own culture not merely at its margins," Pope Francis said on Tuesday.

The pope's statements serve joint coexistence among people of various religions and spread the concepts of peace and respect, according to a released statement.

Commenting on the Pope's remarks that Europeans don't fear Islam but Daesh terrorist group, the statement added that those statements reflect his objective recognition of the true image of Islam and its teachings that urge peace and reject violence and hatred.

They also indicate that Daesh terrorist group is the mutual enemy of the Muslim World and the West, noted the statement.
