
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and EU\'s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton discussed the recent situation in Egypt over a phone call. Ashton, who called Davutoglu on the phone on Friday evening, conveyed details of her recent visit to Egypt. They also exchanged views about possible steps which could be taken in coming period to return to democracy in Egypt as soon as possible. Ashton, during her stay in Egypt, held meetings with interim President Adly Mansour, Vice-President for International Affairs Mohamed ElBaradei, and Defense Minister Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
