Davutoglu: Turkey is ready to help quake-hit Iran

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Turkey would help its neighbor and friend Iran if it needed any relief after the earthquake.   An earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter Scale hit Iran\'s Zahedan city on Tuesday. The earthquake took place at 15.14 hours local time in Sistan and Balouchestan province in southeast of the country. The epicenter of the quake was located 81 kilometers away from the town of Saravan. At least 40 people were killed in the earthquake. Davutoglu said that he spoke with his Iranian counterpart after the earthquake happened, adding that Turkey knew about the earthquake disaster very well, and it was ready to help Iran. Also commenting on the blasts in Boston, US, Davutoglu said that Turkey sent condolence message after this bad incident. He added that Turkey shared pains of US people. Two blasts which occurred during a Boston marathon race, killed at least three people and injured more than 140 on Monday. Turkish foreign minister sends condolences to Iran Davutoglu conveyed his condolences to Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi after the country was hit by a strong earthquake on Tuesday. Davutoglu called Salehi on the phone, conveyed his condolences, and said Turkey was ready to extend every help. Salehi thanked Davutoglu for the relief offer.
