Davutoglu: Turkey not to abandon Palestinians

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stressed that his country will never abandon the Palestinian people and will continue supporting their cause until they set up their independent state with Al-Qud (East Jerusalem) as its capital. Davutoglu, speaking at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ministerial meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, underlined the importance of applying the two-state solution to bring about a just and comprehensive peace in the region, according to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Wednesday. The OIC meeting aims at demonstrating Muslim world\'s support for the Palestinian people and collecting money from donors to develop al-Quds city. He urged the OIC to work harder so that Palestine would be recognized as a full member in the United Nations and to largely contribute to the Palestinian economy
