Davutoglu: We are against anti-semitism

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu on Thursday stated Turkey was against anti-semitism and said, \"We have always stood up to the expansionist policies of Israel in the region and its violent attitude.\" Davutoglu and his Romanian counterpart held a press conference following their meeting at the Foreign Ministry. Upon being asked of some US Congressmen\'s letter to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in regards to his statements of Israel, Davutoglu said, \"Our attitude in such issues is very clear, we are against anti-semitism. However, we have always stood up to the expansionist policies of Israel in the region and its violent attitude. No person should have any doubt of this. Turkey has a history that owes no explanation to anyone on this matter. While holocausts were taking place in Europe, Turkey had been the home to all Jewish communities. And similarly our doors will be open to all those who suffer in terms of human rights. Noone should attempt to damage Turkey\'s clean reputation by taking advantage of such matters. And again noone should make use of such issues to excuse the attitude of Israel.\"
