Digging in Kosovo on suspicions of a war-time mass grave

Kosovo authorities have started digging in the capital, Pristina, for the graves of people missing since the 1999 war.
Bulldozers on Wednesday started digging at the Pristina University campus following suspicions of a mass grave based on witness reports.
About 1,650 people remain missing since the end of the war with Serbia in 1999.
Prosecutor Elez Blakaj said the work is taking place in an area between the university campus and an unbuilt Orthodox church.
Veljko Odalovic of Serbia’s Missing Persons Committee said that, “This is a very delicate ... place and that’s why it needs full dedication from all of us to give an answer to the question.”
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008.
