The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has offered to South Korea holding a working-level contact for inter-Korean talks between military authorities as early as late May, Yonhap news agency reported on Saturday citing a DPRK broadcaster.
The Ministry of the People's Armed Forces under the DPRK's National Defense Commission sent a notice to South Korea's military authorities, making overtures to hold a working-level contact for inter-governmental talks between late May and early June, Yonhap cited a Pyongyang broadcaster as reporting.
The notice said the DPRK proposed to have a working-level contact at a convenient venue and date for South Korea between late May and early June to ease military tensions on the Korean Peninsula and create trustworthy atmosphere between the two sides.
