
Ceremonies marking the 19th anniversary of the death of Kim Il Sung are held all over the provinces and districts of the Democratic People\'s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday. At midnight, the country\'s leader Kim Jong Un, accompanied by foremost party, state and military figures, arrived at Kumsusan memorial Palace of the Sun where he visited the tomb of the Founder of the People\'s Republic. On behalf of the First Secretary of the Workers\' Party of Korea and First Chairman of the State Committee for Defence, a basket of flowers was laid at the statues of the two great Generalissimos -- Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. The supreme leader of the DPRK also visited the hall displaying Kim Il Sung\'s awards, the robes and diplomas of universities which had awarded him the title of doctor honoris causa. The hall als houses train carriages in which the Korean leader travelled all over the country for numerous inspection tours, as well as his office car and the yacht. Since early in the morning on Monday, people come to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong IL monuments erected on Mansudae Hill in downtown Pyongyang. Sited in various parts of the country the monuments, statues and mosaic panels with a representation of the President have been decorated with flowers laid by work collectives, servicemen, students, and schoolchildren. The pages of local newspapers are dedicated to the theme of \"immortal services of the Founder of Socialist Korea\" and his \"boundless love for and closeness to the people\". The \"Immortality Steles\" bearing the words \"The Great Leader is always with us\" constantly reminds people of the historic importance of Kim Il Sung personality in the DPRK. According to the Constitution of the DPR, Kim IL Sung is the \"Eternal President of the People\'s Republic.\" A mourning had been declared in the country on July 8, 1994, following the sudden death of Kim IL Sung. The mourning lasted three years.
