Dr. Al-Zayani meets UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs

Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met at United Nations Headquarters here today with Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos. This came on the sidelines of the meetings of the 66th session of UN General Assembly which Dr. Al-Zayani attended. During the meeting, they reviewed the efforts of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in providing humanitarian assistance to those affected and those in need, especially in the affected areas. The meeting also discussed ways of coordination and cooperation among United Nations organizations and the GCC.
