
Netherlands Ambassador to Egypt Gerard Steeghs has expressed sympathy with the families of the passengers of the EgyptAir plane that vanished from radar at dawn Thursday while en route from Paris to Cairo.
"My thoughts are with all family members & loved ones of passengers and crew of MS 804. Hope they will have answers soon as to what happened", the Dutch ambassador wrote on his Twitter account.
Some 56 passengers along with 10 crew members were on board the Airbus A320.
Radar lost contact with the flight at 2:45 Cairo local time while at an altitude of 37,000 feet.
The flight took off from Charles de Gaulle airport on Wednesday 23:09 (Paris local time) then it disappeared from radar after entering the Egyptian airspace.
