
Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief and Defense Minister Colonel General Sedqi Sobhi received Monday his Cypriot counterpart Christoforos Fokaides along with his accompanying delegation.
The welcoming ceremony for the Cypriot defense minister and his accompanying delegation was held at the premises of the general secretariat of the defense ministry.
The two sides also signed a joint cooperation program in the defense sphere. They also tackled the latest developments in the region along with the current regional and international challenges.
They also reviewed a number of issues, in light of the memorandums of understanding signed between Egypt and Cyprus to promote cooperation in the fields of defense, training and exchange of military expertise.
Sobhi, meanwhile, affirmed the appreciation of the Egyptian people and their Armed Forces of the distinguished ties between Egypt and Cyprus.
