Egypt hopes Libya to open new chapter after Gaddafi\'s death

The Egyptian government hoped the Libyan people would open a new chapter to rebuild their country after the death of former leader Muammar Gaddafi, the official MENA news agency said. Egypt is willing to offer all possible support to Libya\'s National Transitional Council in the coming period for the country \'s reconstruction and democratic transition, the state-run news agency said. Mahmoud Jibril, head of the NTC\'s executive committee, confirmed Thursday at a press conference held in Tripoli that Gaddafi was killed in gun battle in his hometown Sirte.
