
Egyptian Interim President Adly Mansour renewed on Sunday keenness on "maintaining gulf security against any external threats," which would remain one of the integral aspects of Egyptian national security. A statement from the Egyptian Presidency said that confirmation came during a meeting between President Mansour and Omani Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi Abdullah. The Omani minister conveyed greetings of Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said to Mansour, stressing on the strong and historic ties and the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries. In turn, President Mansour expressed gratitude to Sultan Qaboos' message in which he congratulated Egypt in the wake of the June 30th revolution. The meeting also dealt with a number of regional and international issues and ways to develop bilateral relations.
