Presidential spokesman Ihab Fahmy said that the presidency will not comment on a court ruling issued earlier Saturday on the so-called Port Said massacre case, asserting that judicial rulings are binding and should be respected. In statements on Saturday, the spokesman said violence that took place after the ruling makes it important to differentiate between right to peaceful protest and violent acts that place their perpetrators under the law accountability. He asserted that \"the interior ministry still shoulders its main responsibilities in keeping security in the country.\" He voiced hope that stability and security will be restored in the country. The spokesman condemned an attack on Al-Watan newspaper building.
