Egypt will preside over a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which will be held on Jeddah on Sunday to discuss conditions of Myanmar\'s Muslim minority Rohingya. Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr will lead Egypt\'s delegation to the meeting. Amr is due to arrive in Jeddah on Saturday. The Muslim minority of Rohingyas in Myanmar accounts for about five percent of the country s population of nearly 60 million. The persecuted minority has faced torture, neglect, and repression since the country achieved independence in 1948.
