Egypt\'s top general meets US congressmen

 Egypt's first deputy premier and defense minister Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met here on Sunday a visiting US Congress delegation to discuss US-Egypt ties and recent developments in the region.During the meeting, El-Sisi and the six-member team, led by Congressman Dana Tyrone, also considered several regional and international issues of mutual interest and their reflections on regional security and stability, Egypt's official news agency, MENA, reported.The US congressmen congratulated the armed forces and Egyptian people on the success of the recently approved referendum which is part of the country's military-backed future roadmap, it said. The new constitution was approved by 98.1 percent of the voters.
