
An EgyptAir flight departing from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar early Thursday, French media reported.
EgyptAir flight MS804, which took off at 11:09 p.m. Wednesday local time (2109 GMT), lost contact about 40 minutes after flying over from Athens, Greece, the local daily Le Figaro said, citing a source from the Egyptian airliner.
On its twitter account, EgyptAir said the plane, an Airbus 320, disappeared in Egyptian airspace.
According to Le Figaro, there were 59 passengers and 10 crew members on board.
