Egypt's ambassador to Saudi Arabia denied on Sunday any connection with a statement attributed to the embassy that directs the Egyptian community in Saudi Arabia to vote for Egypt's draft constitution to be up for a vote abroad on Wednesday. The embassy has nothing to do with this statement, Ambassador Afifi Abdel Wahab said. He urged all media outlets to be accurate before publishing anything related to the embassy, especially at this critical stage Egypt is passing through. "Any news or statements made by the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh are issued through the embassy's official media office," he added. The embassy is not responsible for what it is transmitted on any website in its name, he added. He noted that the Egyptian embassy in Riyadh, like any other Egyptian mission abroad, is neutral and does not take any sides.
