
Egyptian Interim President Adly Mansour met Sunday with Palestinian President Mohammed Abbas. A statement released by the Egyptian Presidency said that the two leader discussed the developments of the peace talks between Palestine and Israel as well as the challenges facing reaching a deal. Abbas expressed in this regard his hope that Egypt can resume its role in pushing negotiations forward. They also discussed the latest developments of the Palestinian reconciliation, in addition to a number of other issues, including the developments of the Syrian crisis, as well as the developments in Libya and Iraq. Earlier today, Abbas met with Egyptian First Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi and discussed with them the latest developments in the region, and their implications on the peace process and stability in the Middle-East.
