Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Hani Mahmoud denied rumors concerning cutting communications and Internet in the vicinity of Tahrir Square during demonstrations yesterday. In a statement today, the Egyptian minister added that he did not and will not cut telecommunications or the Internet service in Tahrir or anywhere else in the governorates of the Republic. Dozens continue with their sit-in at Tahrir Square central Cairo in protest of the decisions issued by the Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi ousting the Attorney General and appointing a new one in addition to fortifying the President, Shura Council, and the Constituent Assembly’s decisions.
