Egypt's foreign policy targets balanced foreign relations in a way that guarantees Egyptian interests and national security, President Mohamed Morsi's spokesman Yasser Ali said Sunday in a press conference. "Morsi's orientation to Africa, Gulf countries, China, then Iran is a step in the way to such balanced foreign relations," Ali said. Ali asserted that Egypt's security can be achieved by reinforcing relations with African states, Islamic states and the economic and political powers in the world. "Morsi's foreign visits begin with China on Aug. 28, then a visit to the U.S., ( which) will be followed by (his visit to) Brazil," Ali said. Morsi will pay a state visit to China Tuesday in a bid to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries. "Morsi' s visit to China has a political aspect including finding a solution to the Syrian crisis, and an economic aspect including increasing the Chinese investments in Egypt," said the spokesman.
