At least eight people including five militants have been killed and five others were injured in two separate incidents of violence in northwest Pakistan. In the first incident, militants attacked security forces convoy in central tehsil of Kurram Agency on Wednesday and they injured two security personnel. Just after the attack, security forces retaliated and killed five militants. In the second incident, at least three people were killed and three others injured when two armed tribesmen of Hurmez and Moski tribes clashed in a bus stand in Miranshah, main town of North Waziristan Agency in the region. Meanwhile, security forces have arrested six suspects, including three most wanted top militants from the troubled region More than 35,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives in bombings and other militant attacks since 2001 when Pakistan joined an alliance with the US on the so-called war against terrorism.
