Kuwait\'s Ambassador to Canada Ali Hussein Al-Sammak affirmed Friday the existing strong bilateral relations between Kuwait and Canada. Al-Sammak told \'KUNA\' that Canada opened its embassy in Kuwait in 1978, whereas Kuwait opened its embassy in Ottawa in 1993. \"Moreover, the two countries share relations in various domains, such as education, health, trade and economic cooperation,\" he said The Ambassador added that Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will be holding talks with several top officials during his official visit to Canada, which starts on Sunday. He indicated that Sheikh Nasser is expected to hold talks with Governor General of Canada David Johnston, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Speaker of the Senate Noel Kinsella and Speaker of the House of Commons Andrew Scheer. An agreement will be signed for promoting and protecting investments, in addition to signing a Declaration of Intent for the air transport agreement, Al-Sammak noted.
