The Estonian government on Thursday approved a draft supplementary agreement to the Paris Protocol, which makes it possible to transfer or open the country’s army headquarters of the NATO allies, the government press service said. The agreement will operate under the Paris Protocol between Estonia, the headquarters of NATO Supreme Allied Command in Europe and the headquarters of the supreme commander of NATO\'s development. Additional agreement creates the conditions for transfer or the opening the main offices and headquarters of the Allied armies in Estonia, and also provides the necessary conditions for this. In particular, tax exemptions, when purchasing goods and services, required for the structures of NATO, will be granted. The document is also intended to ensure the independence of the headquarters of the Allied armies in carrying out their tasks. According to the project, the government authorized Estonian Minister of Defense Urmas Reinsalu to sign an additional agreement. The document should be ratified by the parliament of Estonia.
