EU: Albania has capacity to take next steps towards EU integration

The European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule voiced his confidence Monday that Albania has the capacity to take the next key steps towards its EU accession.\"I have strong faith in Albania\'s capacity to ... take the next key steps towards its European integration,\" Enlargement Commissioner Fule said in his address to the Just Be Conference in Tirana, capital of Albania.\"Together with my colleagues in the European Commission we care about Albania and Albanian citizens. We are committed to assist Albania in delivering the European aspirations,\" Fule said.Meanwhile, he called on political parties not to compromise the country\'s goal of European integration by internal party politics.\"Albania\'s goal of EU integration needs to be mainstreamed in political programs and agendas. This important goal should not fall victim to internal party politics. Cross-party consensus on and support to the EU agenda is key,\" Fule said.
