EU condemns Mogadischu deadly attacks

EU High Representative Catherine Ashton Sunday condemned in the strongest terms Saturday\'s attacks in Mogadishu in which 15 people were reported killed. \"These acts of extremist desperation will not reverse the progress made in restoring peace and stability in Somalia,\" Ashton spokesman Michael Mann, said in a statement. Ashton reaffirmed that the EU stands firmly with the Somali people and government and remains committed to supporting Somalia\'s reconstruction. \"We will take this process forward at the Conference on a New Deal for Somalia in Brussels on 16 September,\" added the statement.
