
The European-UAE Human Rights Working Group held its sixth meeting in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
The UAE side was headed by Amna Al Muhairi, Director of Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and included representatives from the ministries of Human Resources & Emiratisation, Justice, Interior and from the office of the Minister of State for Happiness, office of the Minister of State for Youth Affair and the Women's General Union.
The European side was headed by Patrizio Fondi, Head of the EU mission to the UAE and included a number of EU officials.
The meeting discussed various topics of mutual concern on human rights, as well as cooperation in implementing UN mechanisms and the efforts to achieve gender equality, women empowerment, workers rights, religious tolerance, freedom of expression, combating violent extremism, and other issues
